Worminghall has much in common with many former 1940's airfields . . it's flat, it's open to the elements, it can be breezy if not downright windy, and it's almost completely unphotogenic!!

The Headington 10k is a popular event, part of the Oxfordshire Grand Prix series so there are big numbers from local clubs from around the county, and it's flatness lends itself to a pb attempt if the wind holds off. I know many people today achieved pb's, and congratulations to them, whereas although I didn't know it at the time I was troubled by the wind, and many of the photos I took in the 4th kilometre as the runners passed the entrance to the car park are just a little blurred and certainly not up to the standards I hope to achieve. So no pb for me then, and I need to be more aware of the prevailing weather conditions in future . .
