Having taken part in the 2nd Pomphrey Hill parkrun, I offered to take photos at the following week's event. I was taking part in an orienteering event later in the day but wanted my regular parkrunday fix, and this was a great way to ensure I got it. Before the photos, here's a short video of everyone on the first lap (there are three) after about 750 metres, shortly before the ascent of Rodway Hill . .

Click on the photos to open up a larger version . . and if you'd like a high res file of any of the photos just e-mail me and ask, they're for fun and they're free.

I don't think many parkruns have their own bus stop . . unfortunately the first bus from Bristol doesn't arrive until around 9.30 . . and here's the entrance to the car park and the Pomphrey Hill complex . .

I knew from my experience the previous week that the Pomphrey Hill volunteers were a great bunch, enthusiastic and encouraging . . a chip off the old parkrun volunteer block, really . .

I'm not sure that I'd be looking forward to Saturday morning if this was what I had to look forward to . .

And there's lots to see if you look around, at Pomphrey Hill . . the wooden teepee has straddled the cyclepath for years . . and there was another running event taking place along the path whilst we were parkrunning . .

I can't resist the sound of an airliner . . though it's never been the same since Concorde stopped flying over . .

Here's an almost empty Pomphrey Hill, after everyone's gone home again . .
